The Terrifying Victorian Children's Tale of Struwwelpeter

Описание: In this video we examine the horrifying and disturbing German childhood tale of Struwwelpeter and other 'Pretty and Funny Stories for Children' - seriously, there is nothing funny or pretty about this. The work is by German psychiatrist Henrich Hoffman and may well just lead to more patients. It features hideous consequences to Konrad Suck-a-Thumb and Cruel Frederick as well as Kasper who won't have soup meeting a grisly end.

Later editions exist which satirise Nazis, and former US Presidents and its influence has led us to a rather iconic movie character.
