PIE CRUST RECIPE FOR 10” 1 CRUST PIE ( for pumpkin pie or any 1 crust pie)
1 1/3 cups flour, pinch salt, 1/2 cup butter, 4 tblsp. Water.
INSTRUCTIONS: I mix everything together with a dough hook in a mixer. Roll out dough. ( I put a little less flour initially, and add the remainder when rolling out dough. Much easy to work with)( I don’t use chilled butter, I use room temp butter, however if you want a real “ flaky” crust, you can use chilled butter)
For a “BAKED PIE SHELL” The kind you use to make a cream pie where you have to have the shell baked first. You make the pie crust just like above, and then you add beans to the very top in parchment paper and bake at 475° for 8 to 10 minutes until it’s lightly golden.
