(10 Jun 2017) A police officer has described being among the first responders to the scene of last Saturday's London Bridge attack.
Inspector Jim Cole says "it was almost pandemonium" when he arrived on the scene and had to make sense of it, directing a medic where to set up amid ringing police gunfire.
He described encountering a man who had been stabbed in the stomach, then deciding to direct large numbers of people into a pub basement for their safety after he encountered them running down the street.
Eight people were killed in the van and knife attack in the London Bridge and Borough Market areas.
