Checking out a more contemporary horror movie today! This is The Black Phone (2022) - from the director of "Sinister" and starring Ethan Hawke and Mason Thames. I really didn't know what to expect with this movie! Ultimately, I was surprised how emotionally connected I felt to the siblings and how much I cared about their relationship. I didn't find out until afterward that it's based on a short story by Joe Hill. So, apparently, they had a trace of The Shine (from Stephen King's universe)? That's so cool! I'll be watching the sequel very soon!
