This Video is Part 1 of a series of videos on Annuities. This tutorial focuses on the topic of Ordinary Annuities/Annuity of the subject known as Engineering Economics.
An Annuity is a series of equal periodic payments which can take form in 4 types:
1. Ordinary Annuity - annuities where payments are made in the end of every period whereby the first payment falls on the first period.
2. Annuity Due - annuities where payments are made at the beginning of every period whereby the first payment falls on the first period.
3. Deferred Annuity - annuities where the first payment will be deferred to a future date.
4. Perpetuity - annuities that lasts forever.
An number of problems have also been solved in the video to illustrate the principle of Ordinary Annuities.
