CBD & Drug Testing | What You Need to Know

Описание: I want to start by making something really clear. This video is not legal advice, so please do not take it as such. I’m not a drug testing expert nor a legal expert. I’m simply going to share what I’ve learned being in this industry for the past couple of years.

So the question we get a lot is this: If I take this product, will I fail a drug test?

First, I’d recommend that if you’re worried about failing a drug test, avoid any products with detectable THC (which is the compound found in marijuana that causes a high). For us at Joy Organics, that means our full spectrum products. If you’re taking a full spectrum product, it’s not guaranteed that you’ll fail a drug test, but it’s probably not worth the risk.

Second, if you’re taking any CBD products (even if they contain no THC whatsoever), you might fail some at-home tests and potentially other tests that aren’t processed in a lab. Why is this? Well, the CBD industry is pretty new. And these kind of tests just aren’t sophisticated enough to differentiate between compounds that look alike, which in this case, are compounds known as cannabinoids.

Tests processed in a lab, however, should be able to differentiate between cannabinoids.

The third and last point to consider is this: The best assurance that third-party labs can offer for broad spectrum CBD products is that they don’t contain detectable amounts of THC. You can’t accurately say that a product is completely free of THC because it’s impossible to prove. The same is applicable for any compound or contaminant in any food or supplement, by the way, it’s not just true for the hemp industry.

But this is why we can’t guarantee that someone will pass a drug test if they take our broad spectrum products. It’s true for any broad spectrum CBD or CBD isolate product. And is a area we’d rather not venture into.

I will close with this guarantee, though, and that is that all of our lab results are available for our broad spectrum CBD products, and they all show 0.0%, or no detectable, THC.
