I’m a disabled content creator and I’m being “attacked” online by weirdos - META won’t protect me

Описание: Coming at you raw and from the heart…and from my kitchen in the middle of the night! It’s finally got too much for me and I had to just get it out. This is my story of how thousands of “perverts” are ruining my social media business and how people like me are not getting any protection from META.

I have been facing this problem on a massive scale for about 18 months. At it’s highest the perverts were flooding my account at around 100 per HOUR - yes you read that right. I’m a midlife, disabled, fashion & beauty content creator and that hits a sweet spot for weirdos!

At first I was deleting them then instagram blocked me as I did too many. Then I spent a while removing them slowly but I never caught up. My female demographic dropped from 82% to round 60%.

I panicked and asked for help from anyone and everyone. I was told to leave them alone and focus on creating for my desired audience. So I did just that, I hired a coach and worked my butt off but it didn’t work. They kept coming and no matter what I did IG just stopped showing my content to my desired audience but flooded the feeds of men with my posts. This was proven in my analytics with a study I did.

When my female demographic dropped below 50% I started to remove them again, slowly. But then a fashion reel went viral while I was away on holiday and they flooded in their thousands onto my account, every day. My female demographic dropped below 20%!

When I came back, myself and a friend spent 2 weeks, at hours every day removing thousands of them. It was a full time job for both of us for two weeks.
At the end I got my female demographic up to 44% and couldn’t risk removing any more of the perverts for fear of instagram blocking me again.

Afterwards I immediately noticed my account stopped performing. No story reach. No post reach. No engagement. Nothing. My account was dying.

I acquired a new management team who told me not to do that again. To leave any new weirdos on and just focus on trying to attract my desired audience - females.

So I have. But they’re back. Again. Coming in at hundreds a day.

And my female demographic is down to 17% and falling.

I recently had a message from a female follower who told me she hadn’t seen any of my posts in over a year. Yet I post almost every single day.

I work so hard on my account, I’m targeted with my content, my captions are SEO optimised, my hashtags carefully selected. I work with well know brands.

In the middle of this I turned my account to private as I felt so vulnerable and scared but I lost all my stats. DO NOT DO THIS if you’re reading struggling with similar issues!

I’ve just gone to the press because there is no protection for us and I hope someone picks up the story.

Where are we supposed to turn when we are being “attacked” by these vile people in a place of our business?!

Many of these accounts are pronogr@phic and I’ve reported so many only to be told they’re too busy to even look into it. One was so bad it was illegal!

My analytics show that in the last 6 months alone I have removed …
64k+ of these accounts and there are currently over 20k of them on my account right now.

I have no answers but TOGETHER we must be stronger. Right?

It’s killing my account, my business and affecting my mental health!
