In the U.S., stroke is the 5th most common cause of death and the leading cause of adult disability. Now, health experts say that more young people are having strokes. That actually includes Austin PBS employee Lily Angelle. She had a serious stroke in February and had to re-learn how to talk, walk and live. But her recovery, some might say – especially this time of year – is a miracle. Austin InSight’s Laura Laughead shares her story.
Austin InSight is a weekly news and feature program covering issues that impact central Texans and highlighting the region’s vibrant cultural and creative diversity. The 30-minute program, hosted by Laura Laughead, anchors a renewed commitment to public affairs content at Austin PBS.
You can watch Austin InSight for FREE on the PBS App or on-air every Thursday at 7 PM CT on Austin PBS.
The PBS App is free to download on Amazon Fire, Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Google TV, Google Chromecast, Samsung TV, and Vizio SmartCast TV.
Funding for Austin InSight is provided in part by Sally and James Gavin, and Daniel L. Skret.
