My gingerbread house this year is a medieval abbey run by crooked monks who are scamming the townspeople, and getting what they deserve...
This is my 3rd year using a CNC machine to make a gingerbread house, let me know what you think!
Gingerbread recipe:
1 cup shortening
1 ½ cups fancy Molasses (or corn syrup depending on desired colour)
1 cup sugar
6 cups flour
4 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp allspice
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2-3/4 cup water
Fondant recipe:
4 cups mini marshmallows
4 cups icing sugar
2 tbsp water
Isomalt:
2 cups isomalt crystals
1/2 cup distilled water
Heat to 320F, then place pot inside a larger pot of cold water
Gum glue:
1/4 tsp CMC/Tylose powder
0.5oz water
