Hello guys. today I want to take you to our beautiful mountainous village and invite you to celebrate Yelda Night with us. Yelda, this magnificent and long night, is one of the oldest Iranian traditions deeply rooted in our culture and beliefs.
The word "Yelda" means "birth" and refers to the night marking the start of winter, the longest night of the year. It symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness as we move toward longer days and brighter times. For centuries, people have celebrated Yelda by gathering with loved ones, reciting Hafez's poetry, sharing old tales, and enjoying delicious treats like pomegranates, watermelons, and nuts.
It is believed that on this night, light is reborn, bringing renewed hope and a fresh perspective on life. Yelda is a time for gratitude, closeness with loved ones, and reflection on the blessings we have.
