Perfect World - RubyPendragon vs Edgelordy (Seeker vs Edgerunner) | Adversity

Описание: These are the most intense fights I have had in a long time versus my man!!! - the hard-counter to Seekers is here. This class is an absolute nightmare for a seeker with its stupendous gap-closing ability combined with its ability to break-out of/prevent CC. I was forced to stay and scrap throughout the fight because I was quite literally at a loss in every single department thinkable - survival, kiting, damage race - you lose all vs this class more or less. Here is the synopsis of what is going on in the fights for your understanding:

The edgerunner can swap between Fire/Earth/Metal/Water & Physical damage in a blink of an eye, this means that no matter what you do, you are virtually never safe. The only "saves" I had were AD and my invincibility potions. Once they are done, you are as good as dead.

Fire, Water & Metal type damage can be prevented via genie skills but if he/she uses Earth type damage....there is nothing that can be done besides AD. I was at a loss at tanking anything because of this - the edge posses a powerful magic resistance debuff (160% reduction) which allows for very high damaging hits.

The edgerunner's attacks are accompanied by "Halo" which is the physical version of "Edged blur", which not only deals ridiculous amount of damage but also signifies that even if I block the tons of incoming elemental damage, I will still take a considerable amount of damage dealt by Halo.

"Shattering Scream" is a 20 second buff possessed by the edgerunner that basically teleports him/her to me from a very long distance (40+ M)....which basically means that I cannot kite at all & am bound to take all the hits once my invincibility pots are out.

The edgerunner also possesses several "Shield Skills" that can be activated at any time regardless of the edge's status (stunned, paralyzed, disarmed etc) & they consume "Shield Energy" with no CHI cost whatsoever. These shield skills can be used to avoid all CC, reflect back debuffs/CC as well as tank a very large amount of damage.

Several skills possessed by the edgerunner prevent CC as well as completely block all damage from DoT-Type damage skills (Edged Blur).


All in all, there is not much that can be done about this class as a Seeker as of late. However, future updates might reveal something new to me. I am still going to brainstorm & find ways to counter this atrocious class with my Seeker.
