We have become so dependent on power that the moment it goes out, we are in deep trouble. Over time we are hardening our systems to give us a better chance of thriving in a power-down situation.

In a power outage having access to water, light, heat, and cooking are essential. We provide power to our well pump and flashlights through an outdoor connection that allows us to run a generator.

A wood cook stove gives us the ability to heat and cook.

With these elements, we can last a long time in a power outage.
