In this video I’m focusing on one specific color and sound character on my drum kit, using a full setup of Evans Drumheads.
For this configuration, I’m using an Evans Hydraulic Blue Bass Batter Drumhead 20 Inch, delivering a deep, punchy low end with very short sustain and a controlled, focused response.
On the snare, I’m playing an Evans EC Reverse Dot Coated Snare Batter 14 Inch, offering clarity, durability and a strong, consistent attack with reduced overtones.
On the toms, I’m using the Evans HD Dry Coated Tom Pack Fusion (10”, 12”, 14”), a double-ply setup with dry vents and internal control that provides a very controlled, dry response, quick decay and easy, consistent tuning across the kit.
Together, these drumheads create a dry, punchy and highly controlled sound color, with focused attack, minimal sustain and a very compact overall character—reliable both live and in the studio.
This video represents one solid, controlled and powerful color. More drum colors and different setups are coming soon, so stay tuned for the next releases.
