...Source: Transcript: Per InsideEVs, Ionna—the fast-charging network backed by major automakers including BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis—is expanding rapidly across the U.S. After launching its first station in December, Ionna now has 51 locations with 478 charging ports. The company says it’s on track to hit 100 locations and 1,000 ports by the end of this year, making it the fastest-growing DC charging provider in the U.S.
That pace even outstrips Tesla's early Supercharger rollout, which took over a year to reach 81 sites. Backed by advancements in charging tech and smoother setups, Ionna says the goal is to have 30,000 charging bays installed by 2030, with 4,000 already contracted.
Ionna's Rechargeries are designed with convenience in mind—offering 400-kilowatt fast chargers equipped with both CCS and NACS plugs, as well as canopies and amenities for drivers.
Despite political pushback and the phase-out of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, Ionna and its partners are pushing forward, saying the U.S. charging network must grow to match Electric Vehicle adoption.
