Who are Adolescent?

Proportion of the population, grouped in the age group of 10 to 19 years.

Adolescent population constitutes one-fifth of the total population of India.

Nutritional requirement of adolescents are higher than of a normal child or adult. Why?

Poor nutrition can lead to deficiency and stunted growth
