Gordonstoun Pipe Band, led by Pipe Major Scott Oliphant, playing When the Battle's o'er and Lochanside as they started their march to the 2025 Braemar Gathering. This was in the morning on Saturday 6th September 2025, as the band set off marching through Braemar to the Highland Games Park.

For almost 200 years, the Braemar Gathering has been a highlight of the Highland Games calendar in Scotland. Held on the first Saturday in September in the beautiful Cairngorms village of Braemar, it continues an ancient tradition of Gatherings, which can be traced back to the time of King Malcolm Canmore, over 900 years ago.
