Описание: Today I went live for a laid-back fishing session on the beautiful French Broad River in the mountains of Western North Carolina, posted up below one of the lowhead dams near Asheville / Woodfin… and yeah… I got completely SKUNKED. 😅 No bites. Not even a nibble.

But honestly? The vibes were undefeated. 🌄

The sound of rushing water spilling over the dam, that cool river mist in the air, mountain views in the background, and the peaceful flow of the river made it one of those classic Western NC days that remind you why we do this. Sometimes it’s not about catching fish — it’s about being outside, breathing fresh air, and enjoying the moment.

I was targeting smallmouth bass and trout (both common out here in the French Broad), working different baits and spots below the current seams… but the fish had other plans. 🎣 Maybe they were watching the stream and laughing at me in the chat.

Speaking of chat — y’all made this stream 🔥. We had great live conversations, some hilarious roasting about the “Fishing Fail,” and even a few friendly local fishermen stopped by to talk shop. They shared tips about seasonal patterns, river levels, and where the smallies have been hiding lately. That’s what I love about fishing out here — real community energy.
