Forging was introduced into The Long Dark during the September 2015 Desolation Point update, and allows you to craft certain items.

In this The Long Dark tutorial we see how to forge arrowheads. This requires you to know the forge location in Desolation Point, plus have several raw materials such as coal. The guide shows you where to find coal, how much you need and how to use the forge.

Once you have forged the arrowheads, you can use them to help craft arrows, so you have ammo for your bow.
