Each guest on the show gets a personalized style transformation, and this chic, bold, summery look was the one for Claire Jia.

Today’s Makeover was a breath of fresh summer air. I loved seeing her come to life in this linen maxi dress, the orange color complimented her skin tone really well.

Claire has a really strong sense of personal style - she’s into layering, muted tones, structure and comfortability, so being able to lean into this simplistic, form fitting, feminine look with her today was so refreshing! Here’s some more about what I chose for her and why. With the central piece being the dress, I decided on a multi-colored purse that would bring contrast (remember orange and blue from the Q+A segment? I used that color theory here) but also tie in the orange. Since there was green and gold in the purse as well - my jewelry and eyewear choices were easy! I went for thin gold jewelry, and a green pair of shades. And by the end of the makeover Claire looked like a chic published Author ready to tour the U.S.!
