On January 15th, 2025, the British Omani Society proudly hosted the London premiere of the second episode of the award-winning documentary series, A House of Wonders at the prestigious BAFTA 195, Piccadilly.

We were honoured to welcome H.E. Badr Mohammed Badr Almantheri, the Omani Ambassador, alongside representatives from the Embassy of Oman in London, for this special screening. The packed house enjoyed an exclusive first look at The Age of Caravans – Tippu Tip, followed by a thought-provoking Q&A with director Friedrich Klütsch and DeMAX CEO, expertly chaired by Ambassador Stuart Laing.

This German-Omani co-production explores the historical ties between Oman and East Africa, offering a unique perspective on pivotal figures and events that shaped this relationship. The series has already earned top honours, winning Best Documentary at ASBU in Tunis (June 2024).
