EMS (Energy Management System) is a vital point for plant operation and management. If your energy meter/multi function meter reading is recording properly then you can go for further evaluation (integration into DCS). Based on the reading you can determine your power consumption and focused on optimization. The proper reading largely depend on accurate wiring and correct parameterization of the meter.
I wired correctly, given parameter to meter and it's displaying on it's screen properly. Then i have laid profibus cable and connect at meter and PLC end. But surprisingly I'm seeing that profibus address given option is not displaying in the meter. It will fall you on thinking. The first and foremost possible cause is your profibus module/connector is not attached with your meter that why your meter is not enabling you for profibus communication. Hence, connect profibus module/connector and then it will give you the parameter for giving profibus address.
