Bangladesh is developing significantly. Although we lack in infrastructure, but the recent years have seen a massive change. I have always been hopeful about our latest and planned urban township called Purbachal. The place is directly connected to Northern part of Dhaka through Kuril junction and Bashundhara.

Currently Purbachal is a popular destination for a drive or day-tour. With the influx of regular visitors few local businessmen have set up amusement, grocery, tea-stall and restaurant facilities. Purbachal has amazing riverside and river tourism is booming. A big new urban Food Court is now open at the western side of 300 Feet Highway. The Food Hall is a great place for hangout and snacks.

The 300 Foot highway is a popular roadway network which has connected Northern and Southern Bangladesh. The Dhaka Bypass Highway, The Dhaka Mahanagor Expressway, Progoti Sharani, VIP are directly connected to it. Whether you would want to travel Sylhet, Rajshahi or Chittagong; 300 foot Purbachal Expressway gives access to the highways connecting those regions.

বর্তমান অগ্রগতিঃ
করোনায় অনেকটা থমকে আছে পূর্বাচল নতুন শহর প্রকল্পের নির্মাণ তথা উন্নয়ন কাজ। রাজধানীর পার্শ্ববর্তী এলাকায় দেশের সবচেয়ে আধুনিক ও স্মার্ট নগরী হিসেবে এ নগরী গড়ে তোলার কাজ শুধুমাত্র করেনার প্রভাবে সরকারী অফিস ও দাফতরিক কর্মকা- না থাকায় অনেকটাই থেমে আছে। ফলে আগ্রহ থাকা সত্ত্বেও রাজধানী উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষ (রাজউক) এ প্রকল্পের কাজ অনেকটা বাধ্য হয়েই বন্ধ রাখছে। অফিসিয়াালি কাজ চলমান থাকলেও মাঠপর্যায়ে নামমাত্র চালু রয়েছে এ প্রকল্পের কাজ। প্রকল্পের মেয়াদ শেষ হবে ২০২১ সালের জুনে।
