The fortress was built in 13th century and has been attacked 14 times since then by Swedes, Norwegians and Danes, only to never be conquered. Visiting Bohus fortress is a fun day trip from Gothenburg for both young and adults alike. There are several fun activities inside the fortress for kids, such as, archery, jousting, Rafting etc. Even adults will enjoy these activities. But the best activity is to walk on the fortress walls while enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding areas as well as the medieval architecture.
