Venue: The London Palladium.
Date: November 18, 1957.
Repertoire: He sang three selections, including "E lucevan le stelle" and "The Loveliest Night of the Year".
Reception: The Queen reportedly told Lanza she never knew "human lungs could produce such volume" and praised his expressiveness.
Subsequent Performance: Six days later, on November 24, 1957, he appeared on Sunday Night at the London Palladium.
This appearance was a major comeback moment for Lanza.
The audio is not of great quality, but it has been restored as much as possible. As can be heard, Mario Lanza was in top form and delivered a "blistering" rendition of the Puccini aria.
