Описание: There has been a major development in the horrifying Jaipur hit-and-run case that shook the Mansarovar area. Two people have now been taken into custody, including a police officer who was inside the over-speeding Audi involved in the incident.

News 9 has accessed exclusive CCTV footage that captures the moment the luxury car mounted the footpath at Kharbas Circle around 9:30 PM and ploughed into people sitting at roadside food stalls. The impact left one person dead and 15 others injured, while nearly ten stalls were destroyed.

Even hours after the crash, the scene bore stark signs of devastation — overturned stalls, scattered footwear, and the Audi’s mangled front end. Eyewitnesses said the car was being driven at an extremely high speed, first crashing into the divider before mowing down pedestrians.

Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal confirmed that the vehicle was being driven under the influence of alcohol. Two youths inside the car were intoxicated. There were four occupants in total, one of them a policeman. After the crash, three fled the scene. Two, including the policeman, have now been detained.
