Where we stay when we travel is no longer about just having a place to sleep. Accommodation is as much of an experience as the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and smiles on the faces of the locals in the new neighbourhoods we visit.
We want to feel something.
When we set out to find some of the most unique accommodation in Australia, we also set out to find out the stories of the people behind them. Who are they and what led them down this path? Why do they open their homes or why have they designed the spaces they have for others to escape to? And most of all, how can a stay here remind us to slow down and truly take in our surroundings?
