Dr Ali Asghar graduated from Sindh Medical College, Karachi. He completed his training in Internal Medicine from the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi. He did his clinical fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism from the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi. He is member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom. He is also Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.
Currently, Dr Asghar is practicing as Assistant Professor and Consultant Endocrinologist at the Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College, Karachi. He also practises at the Medicare Cardiac and General Hospital as well as Fatimiyah Hospital, Karachi.
Dr Asghar is an Executive Member and also the Joint Secretary of the prestigious Pakistan Endocrine Society. He has remained a cabinet member of the Pakistan Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He has a number of research publications to his credit. He is also an eloquent speaker and has been invited to speak in many scientific conferences.
