In the history of Formula 1, there have been a number of tragic incidents that have had major consequences for the safety of F1 cars. Over the years, the FIA and Formula 1 have done everything they can to make the cars as safe as possible.
Formula 1 drivers put their lives at risk every time they step into an F1 car. Despite all the safety measures taken, Roman Grosjean's crash at the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2020 provided further proof that motorsport and F1 is still very dangerous.
For Grosjean, the halo proved to play a big role which helped save his life and it has made a major contribution to the safety of F1 drivers since it was introduced in 2018.
