Описание: The Special Investigation Team of the Uttar Pradesh Police has submitted its report to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the codeine cough syrup smuggling case, exposing a cross-border syndicate involving diversion of pharmaceutical consignments, hawala transactions and criminal networks. The SIT report claims licences to firms linked with alleged kingpin Vibhor Rana were issued during the previous Samajwadi Party government led by Akhilesh Yadav, and notes that enforcement action near the Nepal border disrupted trafficking routes. The probe also flagged attempts to return nearly one crore bottles to Abbott and alleged the use of networks linked to religious conversion rackets to facilitate smuggling operations.
