Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mahua Moitra, who was expelled by the Lok Sabha as a House member over the 'cash-for-query' case, on Friday hit out at the ethics committee for "acting without proof" and said the panel was becoming a "weapon" to "bulldoze" the Opposition.
Speaking to reporters after being expelled as an MP, Moitra alleged the ethics committee and its report "broke every rule in the book". The development took place after the Lok Sabha earlier today took up the ethics panel report that recommended her expulsion.
