We love Ocracoke! Our family discovered this little gem in the summer of 2020. We liked it so much that we visited it twice that summer and couldn’t wait to go back. Riding over on the ferry is the coolest part, especially when you have your motorhome in tow. It’s such a strange feeling to be in your motorhome on a ferry in the middle of the sea.
If you’ve never been on a ferry like this, definitely have a watch. Even with an extra large motorhome, you will fit and be glad you took the trip. Call ahead and be sure to have a reservation. They only allow so many big rigs per trip.
