This song came from a place I know too well—the weight of my past, the battles in my mind, the moments where I had to face the man in the mirror and decide if I was gonna keep running… or finally surrender and change. I’ve lost pieces of myself in addiction, in broken love, in choices I wish I could take back—but through all of it, God never lost me.

This is about learning that sometimes you have to lose who you were… to become who you were meant to be.

It’s about waking up and asking God not just to protect you from the world—but from yourself. It’s about putting on that armor every single day when your thoughts get loud, when your past tries to pull you back, and when your faith is the only thing holding you together.

I didn’t write this from a place of perfection… I wrote it from the middle of the fight.

Every lyric carries the truth of my journey—falling, getting back up, breaking, healing, and learning that surrender isn’t weakness… it’s the beginning of strength.
