Near miss with a saw, and more van work

Описание: The Puddle Jumper is finally getting its "life support" and storage systems! In this update, I’m showing off the new hidden toilet structure and how I’ve boxed in the storage areas under the side benches. To keep with that Lantean aesthetic, I’ve painted the interior storage boxes black so they fade into the background when the cushions are on.

I also managed to get those new aluminum LED fixtures installed. They really change the vibe inside, giving it that clean, high-tech scout ship glow. Beyond the looks, I spent some time tackling the "tin can" noise by packing the wall cavities with expandable spray foam and rigid board insulation—the difference in road noise is incredible.

What we’re covering today:

Stealth Toilet & Storage: Building a hidden enclosure for the portable toilet and boxing in the under-seat storage areas.

Interior Lighting: Installing the new LED fixtures to bring the "Ancient" aesthetic to life.

Soundproofing & Insulation: Comparing the "reverberation" of the uninsulated passenger side vs. the rock-solid, foam-filled driver side.

A Lesson Learned: A serious talk about power tool safety. I had a scary moment with an old, guardless saw that almost ended in disaster. I’ve officially retired the old saw and upgraded to something with a guard.

We're moving closer to the finishing stages every day. From listening to sci-fi audiobooks while I work to figuring out the electrical race-ways in the walls, the vision is finally coming to life.
