Finished up the stainless steel exhaust build on the MK4 GTI and then went for a test drive to see how it sounded. Super happy with the outcome and had no odd noises or clunks out of the exhaust.
Build details are a full 3" exhaust system using a 42 Draft Designs catted downpipe and then a custom built catback system using 3" round stainless steel tubing and then transitioning to 3" oval stainless steel tubing to go over the rear axle. Then transitioning back to round for the muffler section and all joints in the cat-back section being V-bands. All materials used came from Stainless Bros (www.stainlessbros.com) and Stainless Headers Mfg (www.stainlessheaders.com) to build the entire cat-back system.
Now on to driving this thing to Tail of the Dragon!
