When Cheryl, Lyndsey and Mercedes take a trip to Belfast to visit the grave of Malachy, Lyndsey introduces the two others to Pete, a childhood friend of herself Brendan and Cheryl, and Pete reveals that he too is moving to Hollyoaks to take up the vacant headteacher position at the school. Cheryl, on Brendan's half, though we know not yet why, is shocked and appalled at Lyndsey for telling Pete about the job opportunity.
Back in the village, Brendan sees Ste and Noah chatting closely in Look Sharpe. Ste chases after him when he leaves though and at Chez Chez they kiss passionately, Ste then demanding to know whether Brendan wants to be with him or not.
