ANU European Studies Centre Dr Matthew Sussex says there are concerns Ukraine is “simply running out of manpower”.
Mr Sussex’s comments come after Ukraine launched a cross-border ground assault into Russian territory according to the Kremlin.
“There is a sign of weariness on both sides … morale amongst the Russian army is not good and in Ukraine, there’s more to fight for,” Mr Sussex told Sky News Australia.
