A fist is the shape of a hand when the fingers are bent inward against the palm and held there tightly. The word “fist” refers to the act of clenching one’s hand into a ball shape, It can be a sign of strength.
Formation of a fist for the purpose of punching is a basic image in comics
Front and back shots of first are easier to draw because we can use a basic polygon shape with the second knuckle being the peak. The thumb wraps the first two fingers. We only draw the knuckles and top joints in a straight on fist view.
Drawing a palm view first has the same rules with the second finger joint shown as the highest. In this view the tips of the fingers are tucked inside the palm and you see where the thumb is holding the holding them.
Side and three-quarter views require a little more work. With practice and some good photo references you can get there.
