Scope and Jurisdiction
These Guidelines shall apply to any person or entity whether government or private engaged in the shipment of live animals, animal products and by-products that shall depart from seaport or airport and/or pass through established veterinary quarantine checkpoints within the Philippines.
REGULATORY AUTHORITY
The Department of Agriculture (DA)-Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) – National Veterinary Quarantine Services Division (NVQSD) through its veterinary quarantine officers, animal quarantine inspectors and deputized veterinary quarantine officers shall exercise the regulatory functions as the veterinary authority under the Administrative Order.
