While shooting a Hindi film in Mumbai, we both flew to Chennai at around 4 a.m. to cast our votes in the Tamilnadu Election
We were denied boarding our flight because we hadn’t completed web check-in two hours prior. Even though we reached one and half hour before… we faced lot of difficulties… we were very upset
Fearing we wouldn’t be able to vote, we booked another flight for morning 6.40 flight and took it to Chennai.
Upon arrival, we waited for so long time in a queue at the polling station, with a large crowd delaying our turn.
When fellow voters learned we had come from a film shoot happening in Mumbai, specifically to vote, they collectively helped us by requesting police to allow us to vote urgently.
The police cooperated and permitted us to vote ahead of others.
After voting, we quickly returned, caught the next flight back to Mumbai, and directly resumed the film shoot.
We especially thanking our director Vamsi Paidipally sir for supporting our decision and prioritizing our civic duty despite the shooting schedule.
