I Listened to the OG Broadway Cast Music Man Soundtrack & These Are My Thoughts

Описание: I tried to find videos of the original Broadway cast of The Music Man so I could properly watch it, but hey, an official soundtrack is better than nothing.

As an ardent lover of the 1962 movie (and this is the ONLY PROPER rendition since), I knew I had to listen to the original Broadway cast. Especially since Robert Preston was part of the original B’way cast.

This video is going solely based on the 1958 soundtrack of the Broadway

What I Prefer in OG Musical
🎺 Some of the songs have more flare (“Overture/Rock Island”)
🥁 The cast seemed to have a lot of chemistry
🎺 It was all professional sounding

What I Prefer in 1962 Movie
🎺 The ambient sounds that go along with the songs
🥁 Buddy Hackett
🎺 Shirley Jones
🥁 Hermione Gringold
🎺 Robert Preston seemed a bit more comfortable in the role

What I Like About Both

🥁 They’re the same, but they have their own slight unique flares
