Shantae is a lucky franchise that made it out to the market & prosper to this day. It started out as a simple game created by a couple, then dealt with a rocky development cycle which mostly involve impressive technology, and finding a publisher. The GBC title ended up being one of the most sought after games for the system, and took her a whopping 8 YEARS to get a sequel out.

On today's episode of Lost Legends, we look at not one but FOUR Shantae games that got rejected. 3 took place between the first & the sequel, while one is from before the GBC.
