It was this aim that led him to establish Last Forest Enterprises in the quaint town of Kotagiri, Tamil Nadu. Life for the local communities here was mostly idle; their only source of employment being tea-plantation or odd- jobs which fetched meager incomes. To their help, came Last Forest which helped them to market their products. The local villagers started making local products out of local resources. Some of their products include pickles, honey, soaps, lip-balm, handicraft items etc.
Last Forest Enterprises promotes indigenous products and crafts from small farmers and harvesters. It has been a boon to the local farmers and craftspeople - giving them a chance to showcase their products and get good returns.
