WAEC Oral English is not quite as difficult as it appears. The examining body uses the same approach to set its questions every year. If a discourse on Oral English is not segmental, then it is suprasegmental. That is, if Oral English questions are not based on vowels and consonants, then they are coming from stress, rhymes and intonations.
Apart from intonations, WAEC tests students’ understanding of vowels, consonants, stress and rhymes under seven sections in English Language Paper 3, popularly known as “Test of Orals”
