In 2005, we (Steve & Jen) packed up our 14-year-old 80 Series Landcruiser, hitched up a basic camper trailer, loaded our daughters Savanna (4) and Sara (1) into the back seats, and drove out of Melbourne to begin our 16-month road trip around Australia.

This is the complete, uninterrupted documentary of that journey - all 10 episodes combined into one continuous 7 hour 14 minute film for the ultimate binge-watching experience.

OUR BIG LAP STORY

We'd spent 14 years running a printing business in Melbourne and were exhausted. After selling everything - our business, our house, and most of our belongings - we set off to travel for a year and a half around Australia visiting every state and territory, visiting all the extremes: the furthest north, south, east and west points, the geographical centre, and even climbing Mt Kosciuszko.

With 200 hours of footage shot on what was then cutting-edge HD video, we captured everything - the highs, the lows, and everything in between.

THE ADVENTURE INCLUDES

• Being stranded in outback Queensland for 3 days
• Driving some of Australia's toughest and most remote tracks

THE LEGACY

Originally released as a 3-DVD set in 2013, The Big Lap film series sold over 40,000 copies over the following decade in DVD, Blu-ray and digital download formats, inspiring thousands of families to embark on their own Big Lap adventures.

In 2023, we released the series on YouTube, digitally remastered and upscaled to 4K. Now in 2025, we're celebrating the 20th anniversary of our journey with this special Binge Edition - perfect for those who want to experience the entire adventure from start to finish without interruption.
