In his EU2013 Conference talk, Rupert Sheldrake describes how science is being constricted by assumptions hardened into dogmas—all of reality is material or physical; the world is a machine, made up of inanimate matter; nature is purposeless; consciousness is nothing but the physical activity of the brain; free will is an illusion.

On January 5th, 2013, he gave this captivating hour-long lecture at EU2013 in Albuquerque—then exactly one week later his 18-minute talk at TEDxWhitechapel in London was "banned" and mired in a prolonged controversy after it was taken out of circulation by TED, relegated to a corner of their website and stamped with a warning label.

Dr. Sheldrake is a biologist and author of over 90 scientific papers, 9 books, and co-author of 6 books. He studied natural sciences at Cambridge, philosophy and history of science at Harvard, then returned to Cambridge in 1967 for his PhD in biochemistry.


2022 marks the 10-Year Anniversary of "Science Set Free" (UK title – "The Science Delusion") first published in September 2012.
