This is a Google-Earth ‘fly-over’ along and above, going north, along the San Andreas fault from Portola Valley to Bodega Bay.
It is not a precise mapping of the fault, but fairly close. I made this using my desktop and Town resident and next-door neighbor, Brian McClendon’s copy of the the ‘Pro’ version of Google Earth (he, himself, brought what is now Google-Earth to Google a dozen years ago). Right-hand side of fault is the North American Plate; left side, Pacific Plate, moving north wrt other side at 2 inches.yr.
