Where Is the Muslim Voice for Kurdish Suffering?

In this video, I speak openly about Kurdish suffering, selective outrage, and the silence that surrounds injustice when it comes from within. I reflect on recent events affecting the Kurdish people in northern Syria, forced reconciliation, displacement, and the long-standing denial of Kurdish rights across the Middle East.

This is not a call for hatred or division. It is a call for integrity, conscience, and moral consistency. Justice should not depend on who the victim is, or who the oppressor happens to be.

The Kurdish people are a nation of over 40 million, with a language, culture, and history that predates modern borders drawn after the Sykes–Picot Agreement. Yet their suffering is often ignored, even by voices that speak loudly about justice elsewhere.

I also reflect on faith, responsibility, and why silence in the face of injustice has consequences — personally, politically, and spiritually.

Real progress only happens when people speak up against wrongdoing, even when it is uncomfortable, even when it is their own side.

Speak up for the oppressed. Even when it costs something.
