The Marion County Sheriff’s Office Cadet Program is for students ages 14-21 who are interested in learning more about having a possible career in Law Enforcement.
MCSO Cadets receive similar training as our new recruits. Cadets are trained on how to handle traffic stops, preform building searches, write incident reports and they are able to run the same obstacle course as our deputies.
Once a year, cadets go to bootcamp, where they receive training from our deputies and compete in various events. Cadets also make community appearances to act as representatives of the sheriff's office.
Two former cadets have recently been hired by MCSO, proving that the cadet program can lead to a promising career.
