In conjunction with the International Jazz Day that falls on 30th of April, UiTM Faculty of Music is devoted to conduct jazz day celebration this year. Switching the physical concert to online, the faculty staffs are rolling up their sleeves to ensure no one will miss this concert opportunities.
Contrary to previous years’ themes and concepts, as the spearhead of music innovation, the faculty is injecting cultural and ethnic elements in this year’s jazz concert performance. The theme ‘Ethnotopia’ will display UiTM musicians’ bravery and creativity in experimenting and innovating arts by assimilating Malaysia’s ethnic and cultural elements within western jazz styles. In the spirit of the juxtaposition, a number of new original compositions will also be premiered in this concert.
