Air India Hijack Scare: Flight AI 2030 Diverted To Jaipur Isolation Bay After Squawk 7500

Описание: Air India Hijack Scare: Flight AI 2030 Diverted To Jaipur Isolation Bay After Squawk 7500

An Air India Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (Flight AI 2030) flying from Frankfurt to New Delhi triggered a full-scale national security response after transmitting Squawk Code 7500—the international transponder signal reserved for hijackings and unlawful interference.

The emergency alert was received by Ahmedabad Air Traffic Control as the aircraft was approaching Indian airspace, prompting authorities to immediately divert the flight to Jaipur International Airport. Upon landing, the Boeing 787 carrying over 300 passengers and crew was taxied directly to a designated isolation bay, setting off emergency anti-hijack protocols. Multi-agency teams including the CISF, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and local police surrounded the aircraft, while NSG commando units in Delhi were placed on high alert.

Following thorough security sweeps and passenger screenings, authorities cleared the aircraft, confirming the signal was a false alarm caused by pilot error or a technical transponder glitch. Watch this video to learn how Squawk Code 7500 works, the exact security protocols set in motion, and the timeline of the Air India diversion!
